No more plastic in cosmetics
Plastic is omnipresent in our lives, single-use packaging and over-packaging are common in the consumer and cosmetics market. Indeed, the cosmetics market generates millions of tons of plastic waste each year. Many of its packages end up directly buried in landfills, in oceans and waterways and in our natural environments. Many plastic packaging are not recyclable or very little recycled. The demand for second-hand plastic is low, which does not allow a second chance to be given to packaging that is mainly single-use.
New compostable cardboard packaging
For some time now, new packaging formats have been appearing in the cosmetics sector. For example, in the field of lip balms, our company Dolly & Betty offers cardboard packaging that is completely compostable after use of the lip balm. Also, we do not unnecessarily overpack our lip balms in cardboard boxes like other companies. This generates unnecessary packaging that ends up directly in the trash or for recycling and which uses raw materials for nothing.
More than a billion plastic lip balms are thrown away every year, creating pollution. With our lip balms, you can make a difference.
